During the Qing Dynasty, under the reign of Emperor Qian-Long (Adam Cheng), a group who called themselves The Red Flower Society was formed to overthrow the Manchurian government. In an attempt to assassinate the Emperor, the members of the Red Flower Society were captured and Chen Jia-Luo (Qiao Zhen-Yu) was appointed as the new leader to lead the Society. When Jia-Luo attempted to save his member Wen Tai-Lai, he met four heroes who were in pursue of an escorted convoy who stole their holy artefact, Quran. When Jia-Luo defeated the convoy and brought back the Quran to the heroes, he won respect of Huo Qian-Tong (Nikki Chow), the daughter of a tribe, who later fell for him. As they were returning to the capital, Jia-Luo met Princess Fragrance (Liu Ying) and was mesmerized by her beauty. Unfortunately, the Emperor also mesmerized by her and decided to take her in as his concubine. Qian-Long disguised as a commoner, but his true identity was discovered by Qian-Tong. She made use of that to make him promise to get the Manchurians out of the central plains. He agreed reluctantly. Later Princess Fragrance committed suicide to warn Jia-Luo of the Emperor's hidden intention.......
